Poster Child names Miller a Howard Johnson’s executive who gave Byrd’s mother Veta the furs and diamonds she wanted.
Ezra Stoller photographed the house; Byrd recalled it as his first encounter with a true bohemian photographer.
The celebrated house was later demolished; Palm Island was rebuilt with McMansions Byrd found depressing.
