Goodtime Charley · Joel Grey / Ann Reinking
Broadway poster for Goodtime Charley (1975) — second of two Byrd posters for Joel Grey musicals; Ann Reinking as Joan of Arc.
This is the second of two posters that Byrd did for Joel Grey musicals. The 1975 production also featured Ann Reinking as Joan of Arc.
For the design, Byrd was, in his words, “Obviously inspired by the art of Maxfield Parrish.”
The Palace Theatre sheet bills Joel Grey and Ann Reinking in Goodtime Charley! — not a Joe Papp / Public Theater commission (the web filename truncates “Joel”).
